MISSION

 

conNEXTion is a FREE networking event developed with the objective of uniting all aspects of the blogging community. 

 

BACKGROUND

 

conNEXTion was started by three former York University students, and bloggers themselves, who would come together on a monthly basis to discuss strategies for promoting their platforms and expanding the content they offered. 

 

One day over drinks at William’s Landing, in Liberty Village, the three discussed expanding their circle to include all aspects of blogging. They saw the need for an event that was exclusive to the blogging community where bloggers could meet photographers, editors and more to help expand their platforms, gain mentorship and build their netowork.  From there conNEXTion was born.

 

.WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

 

conNEXTion  is an event for all aspects of blogging. Those who we encourage to attend include:

 

• Bloggers/ Vloggers on any platform (Tumblr, Blogspot, Instagram, Youtube) who write about food, fashion, LGBT rights, travel, parenting, unicorns and everything in between!

• Photographers

• Videographers

• Photo and Video Editors

• Web Designers

• Social Media Strategists 

• Community Managers and Local Vendors

 

WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Expect to gain advice and mentorship! Learn how to build your brand, develop relationships and discuss possible collaborations ideas. We are all part of this community and even though our content may be different our strategy and execution are usually similar.
